fixing sunken pavers

on one of my dads accounts we had to take up sections of the drive way and put in some more of the screenig sand and stamp it and re-lay the pavers and of course then comes the play sand over top and re concrete the edges for support but are you supposed to stamp screening sand? is this correct?because on youre sight i noticed when laying a new paved drive way or patio youre supposed to stamp the base rock and the screening sand doesnt get stamped it gets vibrated after the pavers are on right? so get back i like to do projects but its good to learn the jobs correctly the first time to avoid problems later thanx juan
