Easiest Way To Remove Marble

I have a about 1,300 sf of marble floor that I'm going to be removing....I tried a little bit with a hammer and chisel, sad to say I took out 3 12"x12" squares in 20 min. If I want to lay engineered bamboo floor about 3/4" thick can I lay it right over the marble or should I just take out the floor.....And if you do think I should remove the marble what is the easiest and quickest way of doing so? How long do you think it would take if it is just 1 person? Thanks for any suggestions you provide.
