Did you ever receive s response to this question? I have exactly the same question, i.e. What size of wire and what size of breaker do I need in the main panel to feed a new basement subpanel. The subpanel will have 7- 15A circuits and 1 20A circuit. I have a 200A main panel with approx 30% several open slots.
