garage ventilation

We have recently built a 22'x22' detached two-car garage. It does not have an enclosed attic or drywall. It has a single large overhead door and two smallish windows. We live in Houston, which means that beginning about now through at least September it is, in a word, hot. Will it add anything to the ventilation inside the building to install a ridge vent or some other type of roof vent? Thanks.
