I would like to add an addition to my Bldg. To add a mezzanine I need to span 33 feet with a steel beam, off the beam I will be running 4x12 to an exterior wall and 2x8 rough cut for decking. 40 LL. w/ 20 DL. no center column, and with no more than .5 inch deflection. The beam will rest on 6 inch x 5/16 thick tube steel at either end. Is there a chart to show the LL and DL of steel I-beams? Can you make a recommendation, the cst is not a factor, ( better safe than sorry!)
