I need to install a steel beam to support a deck I am building. The beam can only be 8" high and will need to span 12' from post to post with a 2' overhang on the last post for a total length of 14'. The beam will support 14 square feet of deck per lineal foot. Not sure what the weight per square foot of deck is standard in MN. Can you tell me if there is a 8" beam that will meet my requirements.
