acquired 1/2 X 8" X 8" steel square tubing for support beam is it sufficient

will this steel sqaure tubing be sufficient enough to support my second floor and attic, it is a hundred year old house and the support jack is dead center of the living room( 22'X14') spanning the length of the room right down the centerline. Also could you please help me determine the weight of this tube/foot? Thank you for your time and I greatly appreciate your help. sincerely, John Augustine, P.s.we get snow but I have a sharply piched room above.
