Re: Removing PVC cement from fiberglass tubFrom: info@builderswebsource.com Category: Plumbing Remote Name: 63.198.181.43 Date: 13 Oct 2002 Time: 11:54 PM
CommentsAcetone can be used to remove PVC cement from some surfaces, such as fiberglass. Before using volatile chemicals, provide excellent ventilation or use a respirator. Always test an inconspicuous area first to make sure the chemical does not produce any unwanted side effects. Use a soft white terrycloth rag and be careful to avoid scratching the tub surface. Some elbow grease will be necessary to remove the cement fully. Builders Websource.
