Re: House levelingFrom: info@builderswebsource.com CommentsYou need the advice of a local expert who can see your existing condition first hand. However, it is possible to re-level the floor joists depending on how severely deformed they are. This often involves using screw jacks, which are turned just slightly each day, allowing the structure to incrementally re-stabilize. If your new plan calls for a support wall in place, then we would use this opportunity to evaluate the pros and cons of re-leveling the floor. So long as you're prepared to make some patches here and there, we think it's worth a hard look before deciding not to do it. A firm, solid floor is important to the home's well being...and your peace of mind. Builders Websource
