What is the exact measurement from the top of the floor to the bottom rim of your countertop? What is the measurement from the top of the floor to the top of the countertop? What brand and model of compacter and dishwasher do you currently have? Is replacing these appliances under consideration? Also, what material is your countertop? Finally, have you popped off the bottom "toe kick" on the dishwasher and compacter to see if there is room to adjust the "legs" to effectively lower the height of these appliances? If so, how much room is there to lower them?

With this information, we can make some suggestions.
