I guess I should provide a little more info: I'm having a new home built (first time home owner) and the builder is recommending Tension Cable. This house will be built in north central Texas, and on black clay. The lot has been a farmed milo field for years, and I've recently purchased a portion of the land to have a house built. So, the black clay type soil has been routinely plowed for a very long time. The soil around here gets very dry, and has major cracks in it during the summers. The house will be 1600 sq. ft., and will be brick, if that matters. Anyway, any and all information, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
