Lt. Gauge Steel Framing

I'm framing my home in steel. The floor joists are 16 gauge 2X12. What is the
best way to do blocking between the joists? They span up to 18 ft. Also I'm
using a Skil Saw w/ steel cutting blade to cut these joists. A 14" chop saw
for the 6" studs, is there a better (faster/less expense-blade cost) way.
