I am building a house in South-central Michigan and am interested in wood foundations. Most builders that I talk to say that they would not build one. When asked, why?, they say, " I don't really know!" Can anyone help with information? Cost vs. poured? History? Local installers? Pros vs. cons, etc.? Thanks.
