Styrofoam-clad foundation

We are building a log home in lower Michigan. We are considering using styrofoam forms filled with concrete for the basement. Half of the basement is a walk-out and half underground. I was told that termites can be a problem when using styrofoam in an underground application. Any comments or suggestions?
