I requested that my builder use a 1" supply line to the water heater and
3/4" supply lines throughout the house. He did using flexible
"plastic" tubing. My question concerns the fittings that are used to
connect the different sections. Should the inside diameters of the fittings be
the same size as the tubing? If the inside diameter of the fitting is only
1/2", then doesn't that make the effective tubing size 1/2" instead of
the actual 3/4" of the tube? Should I worry about it?
