Beam for Load Bearing WallFrom: KJSCL@aol.com CommentsI want to remove an interior load bearing wall spanning 9 ft. Can I use 6 x 6 ibeam - will this be adequate and how would I fasten it. The wall is load bearing and carries 2nd floor 2 x 10's that overlap on this wall. I was thinking for extra support to use 6 x 6 ibeams on each end bolted to the concrete foundation and bolted to the top ibeam.
