Looking for some resources on jacking houses - specifically on lifting mud sills, doweling to footings, building pony walls etc.. I have an 1860's cape with a 100 year old addition that is placed on field stone. There are beams on three sides that are 2 feet off the ground (pony walls can easily be built and tied to footings). One side however, has a beam that is resting directly on the stone - it has moved quite a bit throwing the addition out of plumb and square. I need some ideas on how to jack that beam and fix the problem.
