I need to install "hat metal" in may garage before I can get frame inspection . This is new to me since I built my last home 14 years ago. What is the recommended spacing? What fasteners are best? Is there anything that I need to know to make sure I get the correct installation for the sheetrock. I plan on using 5/8" sheetrock.
