Hi, I want to remove a 28 foot bearing wall and replace it with a laminated beam. The joists are true 2x8's and run 12 feet off each side. There will be one post 10 feet in from the one end of the beam. I know they come in 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 inches wide and 9 1/2 and 11 1/2 inches high but I don't know what combination to get. Any ideas?
